NCSC, DICT to Launch Digital National Senior Citizens ID Via eGovPH Super App

ree

In a significant step toward inclusive digital governance, the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will officially launch the National Senior Citizens ID (NSCID) on 23 July 2025, 3:00 PM, at Roofdeck, The Upper Class Tower, Quezon City.

This groundbreaking initiative will be rolled out through the eGovPH Super App, the country's flagship mobile platform for integrated government services.

The digital NSCID is a milestone innovation of 'Bagong Pilipinas' designed to streamline how Filipino senior citizens access their rights and benefits, ranging from discounts and healthcare services to transportation and retail advantages.

By shifting from physical IDs to a secure, app-based solution, the initiative minimizes bureaucratic hurdles, enhances service delivery, and reduces dependency on physical documentation.

In addition, this enterprise directly supports the Philippine government's 8-Point Socioeconomic Agenda, which strengthens inter-agency coordination with local government units (LGUs), the private sectors, and civil society in recognizing the digital ID.

NCSC Chairperson and CEO Dr. Mary Jean Loreche and DICT Secretary Henry Rhoel R. Aguda will be in full support of the launch with the vision of building a modern and citizen-focused government.

By integrating the NSCID into the eGovPH Super App, the government reinforces its commitment to building a more accessible, inclusive, and digitally empowered nation, where no citizen-regardless of age-is left behind. ■
