NCSC, Key Stakeholders Strengthen Commitment to Establish SC3C in Plaridel, Bulacan

The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), together with key stakeholders, convened on 17 September 2025 for a collaborative meeting in preparation for the launching of the Senior Citizens Community Care Center (SC3C) in Plaridel, Bulacan.
This initiative, the first of its kind in Central Luzon, marks a significant milestone for senior citizen welfare as it prepares for its official launch this October.
The meeting brought together key partners, including the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Provincial Health Office, and the Federation of Senior Citizens Associations of the Philippines-Plaridel Chapter.
In her keynote address, NCSC Chairperson and CEO Dr. Mary Jean P. Loreche thanked the Plaridel municipal government for its support and emphasized NCSC’s role in bridging national programs with local efforts to support the elderly.
“Ang programa ng SC3C ay magpaparating sa mga nakatatanda kung ano-ano ang programa ng gobyerno at maramdaman nila ang pag-aaruga ng ating pamahalaan,” Dr. Loreche said.
NCSC-Region 3 Regional Director Emmanuel E. Daez and Plaridel Municipal Mayor Jocell Aimee R. Vistan-Casaje co-led the plenary session focused on strategic planning and securing commitments for the SC3C establishment.
Meanwhile, Wellness, Health, Emergency Response, and Benefits Division (WHERBD) of NCSC presented the SC3C’s concept and institutional framework while partner agencies contributed valuable insights to enhance services for senior citizens.
Following the meeting, Dr. Loreche participated in the distribution of social pensions to indigent senior citizens which led by the DSWD and the the Plaridel municipal government. ■
