NCSC, Sen. Lacson Strengthen Push for Parents Welfare Bill

August 12, 2025 – Senate of the Philippines — The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), led by Chairperson and CEO Dr. Mary Jean P. Loreche, met with Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and his legal staff to discuss the Senator’s proposed Parents Welfare Bill.

Dr. Loreche expressed the Commission’s full support for the bill’s spirit and intention, saying it resonates with NCSC’s mission to uphold the rights, welfare, and dignity of senior citizens nationwide.

She also shared practical policy inputs to further strengthen the proposed law’s impact and implementation.

Senator Lacson welcomed the NCSC’s recommendations, citing their “on-the-ground insights” as key to making the legislation more effective and responsive.

Both parties pledged continued collaboration to turn the bill into a stronger tool for protecting and empowering Filipino elders. ■
