NCSC SOUNDS ALARM ON FAKE PENSION CLAIMS CIRCULATING ONLINE

The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) warns the public against false and misleading information currently circulating on social media platforms regarding an alleged ₱1,000 monthly pension or ₱3,000 quarterly payout for all senior citizens under the NCSC.

The NCSC clarifies the following:

  1. There is no approved Php 1,000.00 monthly universal pension for all senior citizens under the NCSC.

  2. The Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SPISC), which currently provides Php 1,000.00 per month to qualified indigent senior citizens remains under the administration of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). It has not been transferred to the NCSC at this time.

  3. The claim that benefits will automatically be granted upon online registration at www.ncsc.gov.ph is false and misleading.

The NCSC strongly advises the public to refrain from spreading unverified information, especially content that could cause confusion and false expectations among our senior citizens and their families.

Should there be any official updates or policy changes, the NCSC will formally announce them through the following channels:

Official website: www.ncsc.gov.ph

Official NCSC social media platforms Facebook/Tiktok/Youtube: @NCSCPhilippines

The NCSC remains committed to promote the rights and welfare of Filipino senior citizens, and we will continue to provide timely, accurate, and transparent information on programs and services.
