The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) has recorded its first milestone by reaching the 20,000 benchmarks with its aggressive senior citizen online registration campaign through the official ncsc.gov.ph website.

The record feat was achieved last December 8, barely 10 days after it was officially launched on Nov. 28 which also resulted in identifying four more centenarians from various regions of the country.

The latest count of successful senior citizen registrants on the ncsc.gov.ph website has reached 31,241 as of 4:22 pm on Sunday (Dec. 11) or an encouraging average of 4,000 plus registrants per day.

Breaking down the Top Five successful senior citizen registrants per region are as follows: National Capital Region (NCR) – 9,892 registrants, Region 4-A -8,489, Region 11- 2474, Region 3 – 2,163 and Region 7 – 1,804.

Under the new improved and enhanced senior citizen data forms, the NCSC has added some vital features to include the older person’s source of income (if any), skill set and health profile, among others.

NCSC Chairman Atty. Franklin Quijano earlier said that the enhanced NCSC senior citizens data form can be accessed and downloaded via the official National Commission of Senior Citizens website – ncsc.gov.ph – wherein internet-savvy users can fill up the forms and sign up for free without hassle.
