The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) takes part in the Federation of Senior Citizen's Association of the Philippines (FSCAP) first semestral meeting held on Saturday, 23 March 2024 at Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro. The activity was attended by 20 FSCAP officers from different regions of the Philippines.
In a speech delivered by Atty. Franklin M. Quijano, NCSC's Chairperson, and CEO, the call for promoting innovation and fostering a sense of contribution among senior citizens was strongly emphasized. Atty. Quijano articulated his vision to empower the elderly through livelihood activities. He then introduced one of the nice core programs of the Commission, the Senior Citizens' Action for Development and Nation-Building (SECADNA), the program that focuses on the development of senior citizens.
